He calls this one “Fast Food”.

Bronze Bear
This is my dad, Mike! He is a retired
educator of art and photography, and he
now enjoys making things like this bronze
sculpture.
I guess this is a perfect example of the
service I provide, CUSTOM carpentry. He
needed abase made, so I helped him make
one.
Fireplace Mantel
The next project for this week was
another fireplace mantel. This wood
comes from the St. George Temple. We
figure it dates back to the late 1800’s, back
when a “2x4” was actually 2 x 4 inches!
One of these boards was even shaped
more like a triangle than a rectangle. LOL!
This one will have sentimental value for a
neighbor friend who is building a fireplace
mantel for his mother. He needed help
cleaning them up (including extracting a
bunch of SQUARE nails) and flattening
them out. We didn’t plane it all the way
down because we wanted to maintain part
of the “rustic” look
Knife Block
And the latest project I’m currently
working on is a knife block made of curly
maple. Here’s what the 3D model looks like.
A neighbor friend has been adding to his
cutlery knife collection and
has out grown his existing knife block.
Custom carpentry to the rescue. He
specifically requested curly maple so stay
tuned to see how it turns out!

Introducing Kai
This is my son, Kai! Lately he’s been helping
me with marketing, but he’s also got
another project going. Knowing how artistic
he is, I wanted to see what types of wall art
he could come up with. He’s just getting
started with these pieces! I personally like
the delicate arch, but we’d love to hear of
any ideas YOU might have. Please let us
know!
